Nobody remembers who brought the plant in. It appeared on the windowsill during a reorganisation, when three teams became one and half the desks were emptied. For a while everyone watered it, which nearly killed it. Then a rota appeared on the kitchen door, and the plant recovered. Last month the company announced another restructuring. The email was carefully worded and said very little. On Monday someone had moved the plant to the meeting room, where the light is better, and quietly added a new name to the rota.
